Master hair consultant Emilie Pearson-Brown at Clipso Watford has been invited onto the prestigious Project X Fellowship Education Programme for 2011. The Fellowship for British Hairdressing was founded over 50 years ago and within the last 10 years they launched the Project X Education team. The Fellowship is run by members, is an invitation only body with the crème de la crème of the hair world as members, they uphold the highest professional standards, and believe in life-long training and education for all members.

From hundreds of entries, only twelve hairdressers across the country make it onto the course each year, which takes rising stars through a year of training in media awareness, fashion, presentational work and photoshoots, and an opportunity to join the Fellowship F.A.M.E team afterwards – where the likes of media favourites Errol Douglas, Mark Hill, and Lisa Shepherd all started their careers. Project X has been described as “the ultimate hairdressing finishing school” and it attracts a broad and experienced caliber of hairdressers from salons who are members of the Fellowship. Courses are backed and taught by amazing names in the hair world including Sassoon’s International Creative Director Mark Hayes and TV favourite, Lee Stafford.

“I’m ever so exited about this wonderful opportunity, it could really fast track my career, and I’ll get to meet some truly inspiring icons as well as sharing my expertise and experiences with the Project X team. I would like to thank my former boss Terry Calvert for motivating me and making these opportunities possible for me” says Emilie Pearson-Brown.

Operations Director of the Clipso group, Russell McGrath said "It’s going to be an inspirational year for a young and up and coming icon, like Emilie. Project X explores the boundaries of hairdressing and beyond. The opportunity to be part of the Project X team is a true credit to the passion, determination and sheer persistence to succeed in an industry full of creative and energetic people."
